What has the HOA accomplished?
- Pay for a street light at the corner of Oakview Drive and Hwy 27 to make turning safer
- Added additional lighting to illuminate the entry sign
- Won court cases restricting businesses in the neighborhood
- Successfully removed renters who were running businesses from their homes
- Required the removal of dangerous reptiles and insects from a home and around others
- Successfully required the clean-up of swimming pools and/or debris from lots
- Worked with Kerr County to control speeding traffic on Oakview and Skyview Drives
- Constructed new entry signs with the website address and notation that we are a restricted neighborhood and working to update same
- Contacted Kerr County title companies to ensure all buyers are receiving copies of restrictions
- Successfully had tractor trailer, RV's, and unsightly trailers removed from streets
- Enforced the restriction for only 3 pets in several instances
- Successfully had livestock removed from the neighborhood
- Called the county for street repair, which they responded to immediately
- Sent multiple certified letters for non-compliance as a precursor to court filings when residents do not respond to requests to follow restrictions
- Compiled and delivered membership directory to those who paid current dues
- Held yearly meetings to update members on problems and progress and to elect officers
- Paid for neighborhood garage sale ads each year
- Paid legal fees for legal advice and court cases
- Had speed sign installed on Oakview Drive
- Resolved dangerous gun issue
- Enforced single family residence restrictions in homes in which multiple unrelated families were living together
- A better website has been created and will be maintained by a local website designer
- Added sign on Skyview indicating we are a restricted neighborhood
